Spring Clean @ KYC

We will be holding our first Spring Clean volunteer day on Saturday, March 25th at KYC! We have been busy doing some big facilities improvements ahead of the 2023 season, and now its time to spruce up the place fr summer time.

We'll need as many hands as we can get for this, and what better way to get ahead of your volunteer hours than to get out in the good weather down at KYC!

Food will be provided for all volunteers on the day, and the bar will be open for some refreshments at the end of the day. While we would love to have as many people there for the full day, we understand that everyone's time is valuable. Even if you can join for an hour, it'd be MASSIVELY appreciated by the Club!

Here is an overview of some of the tasks to get done on the day.

West Yard

Sweep and clean

Pier

Repaint lines
Pressure wash pier
Wires – replace handrail and pintles

Clubhouse

Pressure wash deck
Polish trophies
Sweep & mop
Clean windows

East Yard

Pile up tires in East Yard
Powerwash & sweep out Yard
Rake stones on Waterfront
Co-op: Go through lockers and organize equipment behind the shed
Locker duty - go through lockers with manager, empty out unused lockers

Do you use any of the above areas? Then come on down and lend a hand to your fellow members!

All materials can be provided by KYC, but if you have anything that could be useful, be sure to bring it along with you!
